I was going to re-use Ecosia after I originally stopped a while back because their search wasn’t great and I am tired of typing “-ai” in Google. Their search is better but Ecosia claims to be dedicated to climate action and for the environment, but data has shown that Ai is destroying our environment. I am now uninstalling again. Newsflash to the MBAs that made this decision: you DO NOT need Ai to beat your competition or get a leg up in the market. Just stop.
absolutely amazing. the new layout of the app is horribly ugly and inconvenient though:( there's nothing else wrong with the app, now it's just far worse on the eyes and clunkier.
Use of AI is awful for the environment. Wish this was AI free.

I like that this app plants trees! The goals are cute too. And I like that u can turn off AI summaries. Much better than google (ICK). But also, if we care about the environment, why is there AI in the first place? Also, I can’t sign in anymore since the most recent update. The redirect keeps loading so many times that it cancels my re-signing in. Annoying.
Any updates pending {?} Have been sharing this on telegram applications. And oh yeah apple blocks downloading even if it’s on your device. Just don’t go broke by the EOM! Cost of living increases has destroyed media freedom. Just saying ♟️
Since apparently Google is going full ChatGPT style soon, I’m completely switching over to this app. I’d feel horrible if I was part of the reason this world is crumbling. At least there’s still some hope with apps like these ❤️ I don’t like that there’s an ai feature here too but at least you can switch it off. Very eco friendly.
I used to use ecosia all the time when it was just a search engine, but there is no such thing as renewable ai. I’m more disappointed that a company focused on the environment has turned to greenwashing. It makes me sad.
I was going to switch to you when i learned Google was going to shove AI down our throats. i didn’t know an “environmental” search engine was going to do the same. AI IS TERRIBLE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
