VlogMonitor: Boss Level Selfis

I have a different phone for content than my personal phone, so I have two Apple IDs. Even if you’re connected to the same Wi-Fi, you can’t see the other device when it starts streaming. It worked on my personal phone, but it’s broken, so I purchased the app on my contact phone and it won’t stream to the iPad. So now I’m out $20.

Exactly what I needed, no more no less.

I was almost about to pay for that overpriced and greedy app called ApowerMirror (which also works great) but thankfully a Reddit search brought me to this. One time purchase price? SOLD. I was able to mirror my camera app from my iPhone 17 Pro to my iPad Mini from across my entire house with very low latency. Incredible!

I am a social media strategist/ manager, Xennial with bifocals, and need to film a ton of b-roll for my own content. Except those tiny vlog screens are hard for me to see across the room. So I had the bright idea that my iPad would work. Chat GPT led me down a rabbit hole of dead ends and I finally found rumors of an app on Reddit, except the guy’s profile had been removed. Kept reading and the name of the app came up and bam. I’m up and working I’m SECONDS. No clunky interface. Super simple. It just works! I’ll be telling my clients and students about this! I just ordered an add on for my tripod from Amazon, I’ll do a review on socials when I get it all set up and try it out. Thank you for being a ROCKSTAR developer that just gets it! I could not get my iPhone and iPad to see each other to mirror and it was incredibly frustrating. I had spent several hours researching a fix for this and then came across your link in a Reddit conversation. Can I just say your app is exactly what it says? It delivers exactly what I needed. Had to put together a oblast minute Photo Booth for a work event but was dreading the idea of hanging to bring my iPad AND Sony camera AND tripods AND a light ring. This app affords the best of both worlds: retained the camera quality of iPhones front facing camera while maximizing the display onto the iPad

Use to remotely frame and review what my iPhone camera is seeing. I use my Apple Watch to remotely control the camera. So, with $2.5K worth of apple equipment and no screen mirroring possible this app was well worth the price. Also I had a problem connecting at first and Damir responded quickly with the fix!! SteveB

If you want to film something without having to look at your phone screen this is the best app for it. I just mirror on my iPad so I can ensure my footage looks great without looking at my phone which is too far away for me to see. The lag is very very minuscule so I am so thankful I found this before I dumped 60$ on a mirroring device from TikTok! Thank you!

This app does exactly what it says on the tin, it lets you use your iPad as an external monitor for your iPhone, so you can actually take advantage of those fancy big lenses and see what you are recording. I gather it also works for other device combos but that is the one I use. There is almost no latency, and the image is very high quality, to the degree that I can fine tune lighting in a shot based on how it looks in the iPad monitor. It can work over Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspots, and a wired connection which is ideal for me, as i do both studio filming and out-and-about vlogging. I had some questions about the functionality of the app and the developer responded right away and was extremely helpful. This app is a bargain if your workflow needs the functionality it offers. Recommend it very highly!

This is a great app. The only thing I can’t find how to get is a full screen view on the iPad. I’m mirroring from my iPhone and on the iPad it appears cropped. Any suggestions?
