EG Nodes is a clip based Audio Unit host with sequencing capabilities to play external instruments, Audio Unit or MIDI hardware and create a complete audio project. A powerful and flexible groovebox to perform or create musical projects from scratch in a fast and easy way. BUILTIN MIDI GENERATOR Use the builtin nodes to play instruments, apply effects and perform. NOTE/CHORD - generates a single note or a chord ARPEGGIO - generates chord arpeggios SEQUENCER - to play a note sequence RHYTHM - to play drums, percussion or rhythmic instruments PIANO ROLL - to write more complex MIDI part in a classic piano roll editorFEATURES GENERATIVE - to continuously generate sequences evolving in time MIDI FX - to host external MIDI FX Audio unit like sequencers, piano rolls and others MIC/INPUT NODE a simple node input audio from your device mic or an external usb interfaces. You can play your guitar or any instrument together with your song and record it using the Audio/Sampler node. BUILTIN AUDIO/RECORDER/SAMPLER Use the Audio Sampler node to import audio files (wav, mp3, mov, mp4, caf or aiff). Audio node is capable of sync the loop to your project tempo using pitch shifting algorithm to stretch the audio without changing its pitch. You can create your own instrument, adding a sample and playing it via the MIDI sequencer nodes. You can also use the Audio node to record the output from any node in your project or from a mic/line (using the MIC node). SONG NODE to link scenes and create a song structure. You can add how many song nodes you like and assign each one to a different section. MIX GROUP NODE to create mixing busses and group nodes. An easy way to apply effects and automation to multiple nodes at the same time. AU3 INSTRUMENTS, FX AND MIDI FX Load your favorite Audio Units to unlock an infinite palette of sounds. SCENES & AUTOMATIONS Save and recall up to 8 main scenes to control your song structure and nodes combination - each node can save its configuration, parameters and notes Automate parameters to add sparkle to your compostions. Lately, sampler won’t play correctly. Is it a bug? it isn’t reliable and the sampler features don’t seem to work consistently any more. am i missing something?
EXCELLENT APP.... Becoming my daily go to app for concept creation and sound design. Love it! =)
One of the best. There are plenty of videos out there to help with this but it really is not hard to use. Puts together alot of things missing from similar apps. Well worth whatever it cost.
Been getting sequencer after sequencer for a while; trying to figure out how to make compositions without the need for a DAW on iPad (mainly since I enjoy the immediacy of AUM and don’t really enjoy DAWs on here. iPad is just what I have to work with for right now.) Turns out this is just what I needed. Also, if you’re in need of something to turn Fugue Machine into something a bit more useable, this will do the trick nicely. Just set the playheads to four different instruments and you can record each of them simultaneously. Change the scene and rinse and repeat. Also, it seems like different scenes are getting armed and recordings are going into them despite disabling them beforehand. Not sure if that’s an issue on my end or a bug but it does seem entirely random.
My person says like this because it’s full of potential to keep in app rotation of many uses and not 2 leave collecting dust. CAUSE ITS THE SEQUENCE CONCEPT OF TRANSITIONS FOR IDEAS DAT MAKES AND BREAKS. JUST DOING BEATS VS FULL COMPOSITIONS.
I love this app, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve went to save my project and accidentally refreshed it from the previous save. instead of sliding the arrow over for the additional features, can they just remain on the screen.
This is one of the most transformative apps for music production in a long time, and one of the very few that has earned the status of indispensable. The thought put into workflow and functionality is unique, and considerable.
Very glad I took the time to go through some YouTube tutorials and learned how to use the app well before leaving a review! Very powerful, very flexible, and easy to use. Very stable and responsive app haven’t had a single glitch or crash. Love that the option to record audio directly in the app, as well. And a huge thank you to the devs for making the project files so easy to find! Super simple to transfer my projects from my iPad mini 6 that I carry everywhere with me to my M1 iPad Pro that lives in my music studio at home. Awesome to be able to work on stuff on the go and quickly transfer to the larger iPad when I get back!
I didnt know this app existed before today and now ive been at it for hours and can’t imagine going back to the old workflow. Even the sequencer, Which im always wishing was hardware in ios because they dont have that creative feel. This is awesome, so glad someone mentioned it on FB. Great work, keep making it better.
>>UPDATE<< Awesome developer, I requested some form of audio recording or looping module, and low and behold, the new update provides! That is the kind of developer you throw cash at in wads… TAKE MY MONEY!!! This is an awesome app/plugin, my favorite clip launcher out there (since Logic Pro’s subscriptions are a deal breaker, and Ableton did not give us Live for iOS). My big request is, could you add an audio clip module, like a looper of sorts, to launch audio clips? That would be truly awesome! It would not have to be particularly advanced, just a simple synched audio looper that you could add AUv3s to. Yes, I know there are AUv3s that will do this, but none of the modules really feel well suited to host that sort of plugin. AT that point, this app would be a bit like a mini Ableton Live, and that would be a whole lotta fun! And, in many circumstances, you could avoid the need for a full DAW, which would be extra nice… That said, as it stands, this app is a blast! Easy to get to work on without having to pour over a manual, and surprisingly flexible. If working with clips is your thing, you need to, at the very least, give this app a gander!
