Probably the worst app out there for language learning. I am doing a free one now and it’s better than the paid version of this one. You learn things without any context. And the ai bot sucks.
A fantastic and very good app; I recommend using it if you're a complete beginner. It teaches you everything from the very beginning, literally. It's better than the green app.
First, you have to pay money for it. You don’t need to pay money for Memrise a review of the words you were did not language, which is really good and tell you what it sounds like
I’m a user of Duolingo. I have an 895+ day streak. I discovered Memrise just yesterday and after seeing all the courses they offered, I was awestruck. This is around 120+ more courses than Duolingo has to offer! Urdu, Toki Pona, Icelandic… they teach everything! And not to mention you can change your Memrise streak to whatever you want! My favorite part of Memrise, aside from the course count, is that there’s a section dedicated to the community! You can make courses! Memrise is something Duolingo couldn’t do. I love this app and now I only use Duolingo to maintain another streak.
I set up an account to review vocab while traveling, and it was super quick. The app seems intuitive and well thought out with features and functions that not just make sense, but improves your experience and expedites learning. I’m still playing around with it, but I have high hopes.✨

This is my absolute favorite app to use ever and got me through so many languages at break-neck speeds, but its like every few weeks it breaks on and off after an update. Past few days its been a white screen with a red dot then an error message 70 percent of the time.
Really fun and easy way to learn Spanish for me.
I had asked for the option to override wrong answers. In particular, in Portuguese, adding the pronoun equivalents of I, you, he and she are optional. Often they are added for emphasis. Now Memrise has allowed me to mark those correct!!! Yeah!!!!!
Disorganised app, sort of seems abandoned. Here's the text of a ticket I've opened twice to no response: There is no 'Memrise Shorts' tab in the videos section (iOS). And please just pay your employees to do videos--not only is it a mixed bag (one had animal abuse and extreme violence against women), it seems super sketch to be using YouTuber's videos to pad the app without their permission.
