You really can take it with you! We are the ONLY App that lets you see your location on the trail in real time, and no network is required! Sedona Arizona has 100+ trails covering forests, streams and red rock grandeur so you’ll need a guide. Sedona Hiking can be that guide. We supply trail descriptions, directions to the trail head, points of interest and the ability to follow your progress in real time with your GPS. Following the trails has never been easier. Now you can concentrate on enjoying the beauty of Sedona and not map reading or deciphering stacks of rocks. Load the Trail information into your iPhone or iPad (with GPS) device and “Take a Hike”! The trail maps and points of interest are preloaded so you don’t need cell service. Visit www.SedonaHikingApp.com for trail listings and hike highlights with pictures from the trails. Here’s how it works: After you decide on the trails you’d like to experience you download the trails onto your iPhone or iPad (with a network connection) and select them as you do the hike. Everything you need is in each hike package. 1. Highlights and features of the selected hiking trail. 2. Length and difficulty rating of the trail. 3. A detailed description of the trail and what you’ll encounter and experience on the hike. 4. Directions to the trail head or live directions and map if you so desire and have network connection. 5. A trail map on screen that allows you to follow your progress and see your location in real time via GPS so you can be confident you’re on the trail. 6. There are trail markers for intersections to watch for and pictures of what is ahead on the trail so you don’t miss out on sights that might be slightly off the trail. We have over 400 trail miles of Sedona beauty! ** You DO need a good network connection to download the trails. If you experience trouble please email us, we can help. ** Be sure to give the app permission for location services! This is in the Privacy section of the Settings app. The poor review we received is the result of this setting NOT being on. Please email us before posting a poor review. We can help. This really is hiking for everyone. All of our trails are hiked by us, tracks are recorded by us and verified by us, not downloaded from random hike web sites or crowd sourced. I started using this app about 10 years ago. I like the way it lays out the hike in distance, as well as elevation, change and views. I recommend it to anybody who’s going hiking in Sedona.
Recently visited Sedona and this app helped us find the right hikes for us. The app provided level of difficulty, duration and detailed descriptions of views. The live tracking kept us on the trails and helped us decide directions when trails would split. Worked perfectly!!
If you are hiking in Sedona this is the app to get. It is well worth the price. The inventory of hikes is impressive. The breadcrumb feature puts the app over the top. While trails have signs it is amazingly easy to lose your bearings. (Do we go left or right!?). A quick check of the breadcrumbed map will keep you from having to backtrack. This app has a “labor of love” feel to it given the work that has gone into it. Get the app and go explore!
Just did 5 days of hiking in Sedona. This app is amazing! Perfect app for tracking and monitoring hikes. The rating in the hiked trails is great for picking the best hikes for your capabilities, at 68 years old it was perfectly fine for our planning dates for hikes and sites. The shuttle to some hikes is a good add. Get a printed one to know when and where! Maybe the developer can add that as a resource. 😊
We’re in Sedona right now and this app is The Best! Have already used it for a couple of hikes, and it does everything it’s supposed to do. I particularly like the map to the trailhead, and the GPS function. The latter is a godsend; today we weren’t paying attention and took a wrong trail, and wondered why it was so long. Wrong trail!… and the GPS showed exactly where we were. This app is cheap at twice the price, don’t go hiking in Sedona without it!
If you want to hike in Sedona safely…get the app. Lots of great features, well designed, very helpful.
Don't waste your money on this app. Terrible interface. Difficult to figure hikes out. Get All Trails instead.
There are so many trails around Sedona and so many map sources. This tool was so easy to find a bike, read about it, select a level of difficulty, and to follow progress on the trail. If you will be hiking in Sedona you need this app.
This app is wonderful. I love knowing exactly where I am on the map, and exactly how far away a given place is. The fact that you don’t need web access to use it is all the more reason to use it.
This is a junky app! No photos, no map images, just crappy directions that you could do better with on your phone maps or yelp! I’m out $5 bucks so you don’t have to be. I think this guy is paying friends to post fake good reviews. There is no way anyone would use this!!
