Really cool and informative. Still needs a little brush up work. For instance, there are typos and confusing wording here and there. Also you should be able to drop a pin by touch under the online consultation.
At least state that you’re in Germany and do not have a more extensive/global list of species. I am in North America. The app only helps me, at most, 30-40% of the time. I paid almost $10 for this and I am quite disappointed.
I am a myconerd and this is my absolute favorite app.
Right off the bat I noticed Maitake, Nameko and Chestnut were missing …….. is this app updated frequently?
I can’t seem to get details when I take pictures of a mushroom. Just goes into sighting and no details are provided. Disappointed
Nice description of mushrooms.
Having used PLANTSNAP to identify plants along the way, I was hoping this would do the same with mushrooms. So far, I have been unable to do that. For now, I am thinking I need to learn how to do that in this app. If it turns out be be ‘my bad’, I will give this app a higher rating. There is a wealth of knowledge in this app, but I have not learned to use it yet.
Love the fact I can upload pictures for others to identify! Super love the quizzes, except for one thing.. Since it’s a learning tool, when you get it wrong it needs the option for the defining characteristics of said species. Otherwise I’m not learning what to look for in the field.
So far pretty good, I love that you can access the mushrooms by season. I have yet to take it out to the woods, but I’m excited to try and I enjoy reading and learning more about the different types. Also I like how it uses common names along with scientific names.
I paid for full access features but any time I try to use them (upload images for ID for example), I get an error that says “body stream is exhausted”. I’m also unable to contact support, seems anything that requires access to a network doesn’t work in the paid version
