Altimeter X
🇰🇷 KR LocalizedScreenshots
Description
iOS/GPS altitude Altitude estimated by the device's location service. It works reasonably well in most situations but can't track small changes and can be unreliable indoor. Barometric altitude (iPhone 6 minimum) Altitude based on the device's barometer. This is how most hardware altimeters work. It can track very small relative variations but must be calibrated with weather data or GPS. Calibration with weather data grabs current sea-level pressure and temperature at your location from a nearby weather station. GPS calibration takes the current iOS/GPS altitude as a starting point then uses the barometer to track changes. Elevation database This method displays earth surface elevation at your location by polling an elevation database. It works even with very imprecise location data but requires network access. Surface elevation usually includes buildings and trees.

Last update rook away option to switch between feet snd meters.
This app should really be promoted as a tool for flying. At least they should let users know there isn't a great deal of accuracy. If you need something that had less than 10' range of error, than this app is not for you.
A simple and fairly accurate app to provide altitude in either ft or mt.
Accurate and works great in the mountains with no cell reception! Can't ask for more.
This App has a very simple function. It gives one the altitude on the spot. It's great to have and follow.
As a former pilot with over 1,600 flying hours, I love this app, but it needs two fixes: 1) it always starts up with altitude in meters and there should be an app setting that allows for the user to select feet or meters; and 2) it needs a "tens of thousands" pointer because I'm currently at Breckenridge CO (altitude 10,049') and elevations over 10,000 feet could be misread in the ANALOG display (in this instance, it displays as 49').
Just as advertised and it seems to work flawlessly for me. You want altitude, you get altitude, quickly and reliably consistently if you have a good GPS signal (+/- 9 feet in my tests). And as an aviation kind of person the classic altimeter face readout is a nice plus. Well done!
Awesome, simple,accurate and practical.
Preciso rápido um bom apoio em vôos.
I use this in my airplane and car to check accuracy. It has worked great each time I used it.
