Taskrabbit - Handyman & more

I had a tasker cancel on me and the app suggested someone else open at the same time. Sounds good right? The catch? There was no information on their minimum time given so I was stuck with a tasker who had a higher minimum than the person I was originally booked with. Who designed this app? This is critically poor.

After multiple attempts for some type of communication regarding an issue where a tasks that I’ve booked on the website does not populate to the app, I am unable to effectively use the app even after performing suggested “fixes”.

Charged me the cancellation fee which was the full amount of the task THREE WEEKS LATER so I wasn’t able to use the credit they gave to the account on my second task, the only one I actually used. And the guy was over half an hour late, worked slowly, then when it came time to settle up he wouldn’t let me use the app to pay him because they take too much out so I had to try to do math in the dark at night and way overpaid. Just handed over all my cash and venmo’d. And then he called me later most likely to follow up on his request to post a glowing review. I told customer service all of this. They did absolutely nothing. Wouldn’t refund anything, wouldn’t apply the credit to the second task even though I would have had it already if they had not taken THREE WEEKS TO CHARGE ME. Literally use anything else. Worst customer service I have ever used. Including the format: messaging through the app which takes hours for a response and doesn’t notify you when they do then just closes out the convo if YOU don’t respond in two minutes. Seriously guys this platform is a scam. They don’t care who they take advantage of or what happens to you during tasks or the level of service provided at all.

Awful customer service, criminal fees, and disgusting treatment to their loyal worker base. There are plenty of other platforms with great workers and far better customer service. Task rabbit has become exactly what you would expect after a behemoth like IKEA bought it out: a typical warty outgrowth of the capitalist, inhumane hellscape America has become synonymous with.

Worst customer service I’ve ever come across. Refused to consider the circumstances of why I had to cancel a task (it was due to a glitch with their app which is acknowledged all over their support help if you search online). I’m deleting the app and never using again. Stay away.

Downloaded it trying to become a tasker and the links just send you in a circle.

Just keeps redirecting to the webpage and the webpage tells me to download the app. Which I already have downloaded, I go to login to helper and it says “Email not in use” so I go to register again and it says “Email already in use” a solid waste of 10mins 👍

I have ordered a Lady to clean and they charge me for her hours and somebody else’s hours that he never showed up or clean or do anything. This app is literally a scam.

I have reset my password over 7x and it still will not let me login!
