While you get no refund if you cancel within 24h tankers can cancel 5min before and leave you hanging without any downside. Makes no sense and therefore no good use

Tried hiring several taskers this weekend for a simple and easy move. The first one cancelled on me last minute and then tried to say I canceled on him. The second is currently changing the terms of the agreement to try to upcharge me because now I’m scheduling last minute due to being canceled on. The Taskrabbit support team does nothing to hold these people (who all have 5 star reviews! lol!) accountable. Absolutely awful service, not trustworthy. I’ll never use it again.

My experience with Task Rabbit was at First pretty good but then after about seven failed tasks, I am very let down with their service. These people will confirm appointments and then not show up and the company takes no accountability. After they don’t show up, their names still appear in my searches for a new task for the same job that they have let me down on. It appears as though they are trying to get you to book and then not show up or cancel at the last minute and they will still charge you a fee, even though they didn’t show up. I definitely do not recommend Task Rabbit except for maybe to find a Tasker and create your own relationship with that person directly without Task Rabbit. Also, their fees have recently gone up from 15% of the Task’s hourly rate to 35%, which is egregious in my opinion.

Account creation and 2fa are a pain to set up

The guy who was supposed to come and help me assemble furniture never showed up. I called and he said he forgot, so I went ahead and canceled the task, although now I cannot be refunded my money because of TaskRabbits cancellation policy. They offered to give me account credit, which I have no idea how to apply because the Agent I spoke to didn’t do a thorough job with helping me. This is a complete joke. I had to set up the furniture myself which was very difficult with my stature and disability. I want a refund on my original payment! It’s not my fault this guy can’t remember to go to a job he’s being paid to do. I do not recommend.

I’ve had some good takers but mostly you pay much more on this app than anywhere else. There is also a 1 hour minimum they don’t tell you anything about. Scammy. I’ve also had damages from plumbing work. Proceed with caution.

Claimed our task was booked but no one showed up. When we contacted task rabbit they said it was not actually booked with someone and just that you tried to book it.

TaskRabbit has become an increasingly difficult platform for Taskers. Taskers are expected to maintain excellent ratings while having little control over cancellations, client behavior, or platform decisions. Communication from support can be slow and inconsistent, and many Taskers feel that the platform prioritizes customers over the people actually performing the work. It can be challenging to build a stable income when visibility, booking volume, and account status depend heavily on factors outside a Tasker's control. Overall, TaskRabbit may work for some people as a side gig, but it does not always provide a fair or reliable working environment for independent contractors.

Even though I talked with someone about a same day job and kept in communication, I was still charged a cancelation fee. As a first time experience, can say I don’t recommend

Tasker canceled 20 mins before scheduled time. Taskrabbit was unable to do anything to protect the clients.

I had a tasker cancel on me and the app suggested someone else open at the same time. Sounds good right? The catch? There was no information on their minimum time given so I was stuck with a tasker who had a higher minimum than the person I was originally booked with. Who designed this app? This is critically poor.

After multiple attempts for some type of communication regarding an issue where a tasks that I’ve booked on the website does not populate to the app, I am unable to effectively use the app even after performing suggested “fixes”.
