Forced things are annoying. You’re making me want to avoid you, not listen to you.
Until I started receiving spam 3 months ago everything was ok. I have continuously had problems with contacting Grindr for help because they say thank you for reporting issues. Now I have been a premium member for 8 months. The current problem that I have is that I am only showing up in a foreign country and not my location in the USA. If anyone on here is a attorney please feel free to contact me as to how I can successfully get this problem solved and taken care of.
Every time they update this app it gets worse. Now all the people are 50-200 miles away. Worthless really.
This app is almost $300 USD per year for “unlimited” and you’re still littered with ads for ED meds, Madonna, and other junk. The unlimited membership is junk. Oh and don’t forget the bots. You’ll be so frustrated with bots trying to solicit you for money and subscribing to their personal sites. Total junk overpriced extortion. Paying $300 is a waste. Take your money elsewhere.
Grindr's operating philosophy can be summed up - in reality not in their own words because their words are meaningless - as: frustrate users with obfuscating ads, create an environment that divides the LGBT community by age and appearance, pit gays against bis and straights, foment bad behaviors and bias, and do all of this on an app that fails in almost every single aspect except that of making its owners wealthy. ANY other app but this one!
Cancelling. Seriously money grab is just exploiting the community. Will migrate to other apps.
app forcefully changes their nice black yellow icon to disgusting rosè icon
Of all the dating apps, this one is the most toxic. Awful invasive ads, endless spam, ENDLESS spam. Having Madonna shoved down my throat in a pandering effort to support her new album is the last straw. Nope. Deleting. There are other and much better options.
They are pushing so hard to monetize that you can barely use it for the ads. And why are they forcing Madonna so heavy? She was washed up before I was born, no matter how much she pays to have grindr force her onto people it wont bring her back 🤷🏻. Grindr— Do better. Acting like you’re ran by all straight men who don’t have a clue what the app is.
No one wanted the app icon forcibly changed. No one with a paid subscription wants ads that are disguised to look like a profile. The app is getting worse with every update. It’s really sad.
