BetterSleep: Relax and Sleep

I had this app and loved it for years. I got a new phone and when I reinstalled it on the new device, they wanted me to pay for it again (and this time at a much higher price!). I was unable to recover what I’d already paid for. By the way, it’s also VERY expensive now. Not worth it.

Lame app. Every single noise is now pay to use. Click one button you used to use and instantly get fed endless ad after ad to sign up for a year. Poor company miserable bean counters

I would love to hear more from the unnamed “Female Narrator” who recorded while this app was still under its previous name. I love the resonance of her voice and truly, she helps me relax more than most everyone else. I’m sorry there’s not more from her.

I purchased this app years ago, before it was bought out and upgraded by BetterSleep, and I’m SO glad I did! I love being able to layer my own sounds and music to suit my mood. Sometimes I want to have that cavern background. Sometimes I want ocean waves. Sometimes just a crackling fire. Other times I want them all! This does that for me and I love it. The stories just keep getting better, too. I think I’ve only ever actually finished 1 (and I’ve had this app well over 5 years). I fall asleep hard every time. I don’t know what it costs currently, but if you have a hard time falling asleep I absolutely recommend it. My brain never shuts up, but this app combined with my e-book and I’m out in less than 4 paragraphs.

Why can’t I turn off the music when onboarding? I don’t want to listen or inconvenience those around me just to setup the app. This is still an issue.

I’ve had this app in the past and loved it but when I recently redownloaded it I was very disappointed. All of the sounds cost money. There was only about 10 free options.

Lots of common sounds that helps me sleep but nothing else like white noise and stuff or else I have to pay ✌️

I used to love this app so much. It helped me many times when I traveled. Now you have to pay for pretty much every sound. It ruins the entire app to me and I’ll be looking for something different.

Had this app for years and only needed it occasionally for sleep when outside noise was too much. Now they added a paywall for sounds. Enjoy losing the majority of your users. I’ll buy a small fan to travel with instead of paying $70 annually for something you will eventually decide needs improving and increase the price. No thanks.

Have had this app for about 4+ years now and has been great until recently. Started off being able to use every sound, combine them, etc. Evertually some stuff got locked behind a paywall but still a large amount of free sounds to use. After the most recent update, almost every sound and feature is locked behind a paywall. Can’t even use basic sound anymore. Sad to say I’ve deleted this app and moved to alternatives. Don’t waste your time if your looking for a free sound machine not worth at all
