Noir is a Safari extension that automatically adds a dark mode to every website you visit. It makes browsing the web at night so much better. With Noir, you won’t be blinded by bright websites ever again. And the results look great too. Noir generates a custom dark style for each website you visit, based on the colors that are used on a page. You won’t even notice this happening in the background – that’s how fast it is – but you’ll certainly appreciate the end result: a beautiful dark mode tailored for each website, where contrast is preserved and highlights still pop. And with over 20 built-in themes and the ability to create your own, you can customize the results exactly the way you want. Noir works with any website you visit in Safari, automatically. By default, Noir is linked to your device’s Dark Mode, so websites will only go dark when you want them to. But you can easily customize this to your liking, even per website. Only want to use Noir on just a few specific websites? Sure thing! Disable Noir on some websites? No problem! Built from the ground up for iOS and iPadOS, the app feels right at home on your device. It supports the brand new Safari web extension feature, which means there’s no need to manually activate it every time you load a new page. The app also tightly integrates with system features such as Shortcuts, Control Center, Focus Filters, and Widgets to fully integrate Noir in all your workflows. And your settings are automatically synced to all your devices using iCloud. And just as importantly, Noir takes your privacy seriously: it doesn’t collect any of your browsing data. Period. Hi there! This update of Noir brings another set of website fixes and improvements. As always, thanks so much for reporting issues, these help a lot! Among these improvements is a fix for an issue that prevented nytimes.com from loading when Noir was enabled. Additionally, Noir's default shortcuts (shown in the Shortcuts app and in Spotlight when searching for Noir) should now work more reliably, even when the app is not active in the background. The extension didn't allow NYTimes.com to load and developer was responsive and resolved the issue.
The extension doesn't allow NYTimes.com to load even if it's disabled only for the website. I have to disable it completely. Used to work fine.
The developer seems actively engaged with its users, which made me choose this over the other popular dark mode extension for Safari. It’s not perfect, it never will be, but there are enough reasonable customizations here to make me happy. Thanks for the great work.
I’ve had this app for a few years now and I will say that it has been flawless in its execution. Never a problem, not once. Darkness has befallen me and I’m never looking back. Buy it, it’s worth it.
Love this app it’s an essential part of my browsing experience. Websites transition to dark very very well with the great selection of customizable themes to help you find the darkness setting and view that works for you

This is a comprehensive, though not overwhelming global dark mode implementation for Safari. Compared to what I have to deal with on my desktop (too few or too many features in a confusing interface, needless hyperlinks) this feels significantly better. Definitely worth it!
It doesn’t work on all websites and is not customizable. Making sure the app works as promised before charging customers is a standard ethical practice.
I’m so spoiled by this app. Sure, like….1/300 sites have a hidden element when I’m in dark mode or something isn’t legible so I have to toggle it off. But mannnnnn is the benefit worth that tiny cost. I wish I could enable it on other apps—yeah, Amazon, I’m lookin at you ya goober. Dark mode, homies. Dark. Mode.
