I absolutely love Luma I started a run club about a year ago, and we’ve been trying to find an effective way to get our nonprofit organization out there and Luma from the ease of being able to add it to the calendar to the aesthetic of the app itself to how effective it is and actually getting people to gather and cross network I’ve used it to host events and also go to fundraising and AI events and I absolutely love it. If you guys are looking to sponsor a run club or a Founder, I am here! Either way love what you guys have created for us.

Pleasantly surprised with how well this app flows compared to other event apps

Doesn’t even do the most basic function which is to send invites to people. It had no problem gleaning my contact info and scraping phone numbers but then didn’t invite half the guests despite saying it did. No way to send a reminder to people who haven’t RSVPed. Was excited for an alternative to partiful but I assume this is just another terrible data mining app collecting info until it can sell it off to a venture capital company.

as a mother of 14 children, I am so excited and appreciative of the program that this allows the information that this gives to each person that is able to come and be a part of it is game changing! Luma is great for finding events, it is more useful for organizer than attendee. It is frustrating when the organizers never approves your registration, this had happened many times, and it’s a waste of time and mental energy to find and sign up for events.

I’ve been a loyal Luma user for several years and have always appreciated the platform’s clean UI/UX. However, as an organizer trying to scale, the experience has become increasingly frustrating due to a lack of transparency and support.I recently spent weeks meticulously planning an event with the goal of being featured on the "Explore" page and "Highlighted" tab. Unfortunately, the path to discovery is a total black box. The "curation team" feels nonexistent, and the automated systems in place seem to prioritize arbitrarily rather than by merit. Despite reaching out via official support channels and even attempting to contact leadership on social media, I received zero response.Furthermore, the Luma Plus offering is poorly executed. The pricing is not clearly displayed when adding a payment method, and the value proposition is thin—waiving a 5% fee is hardly enough to justify the cost when there is no clear "boost" or signal provided to help organizers reach new attendees.Luma has immense potential, but the lack of human support and the opaque "gated" nature of event promotion makes it difficult to trust as a long-term partner. Until there is more clarity on how to actually grow an audience here, it remains a beautiful but hollow tool.
