Set it up and it takes care of itself. I have had a deco network running for 6 years without a hitch. Easy to migrate to newer devices. Cellular service is sketchy, but WiFi calling is solid.

I am writing this review for the TP-Link Deco app to urge the developers to implement true automation and AI-driven features. Given the premium cost of Deco mesh systems, consumers expect cutting-edge technology that justifies the price tag. Unfortunately, the current experience feels like it is lagging behind the modern tech landscape. AI has been mainstream and rapidly evolving for a few years now, making its absence in core network management quite disappointing. For a premium product, users shouldn't have to manually run network optimization or troubleshoot channel congestion. The system should be smart enough to leverage AI to automatically analyze the environment, predict traffic demands, and optimize network channels in real-time without user intervention. When you pay a premium price for hardware, you are also paying for the ecosystem and forward-thinking software support. TP-Link needs to catch up to the current era of artificial intelligence. Implementing automated, AI-powered network tuning would elevate the Deco line from just great hardware to a truly intelligent, hands-off smart home foundation. I hope to see these automated capabilities introduced in an upcoming firmware update.
