When a monitoring session is active, the app tracks heart rate data via the Apple Watch sensors. If the system detects a heart rate below the fixed 33 BPM threshold or a loss of signal, it triggers a high-volume siren. This alert is specifically designed to be loud enough to notify those in your immediate surroundings so that support can be initiated if necessary. Who is it for. Cardiac Alarm is a tool for individuals interested in maintaining a high level of awareness regarding their heart rate trends. While it is a wellness tool, it provides a valuable supportive layer for those who wish to stay informed about their cardiac data during rest or sleep. IMPORTANT: Best-Effort Tool & Limitations. Cardiac Alarm is a best-effort tool. Due to inherent technical limitations, software errors, or hardware malfunctions, the app does not guarantee the detection of every pulse drop or cardiac event. Monitoring frequency is strictly dependent on Apple Watch sensor availability and hardware performance. The app requires an active monitoring session and firm skin contact (proper device fit) to function. It cannot alert to events that occur between sensor readings or if the system is interrupted by OS constraints or battery depletion.
