Based on the legendary XPAN with its unique cinematic panoramic 65x24 images, XP4N turns any scene into a movie set; every shot into a movie still. - Shoot in the amazing 65:24 cinematic aspect ratio - Simulate 8 distinct film types (some inspired by popular film types, such as Cinestill 800T) - NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTIONS, NO IN-APP-PURCHASES! - Use all available lenses - Haptic and visual feedback when taking pictures - Use volume up key as shutter button - EV compensation by swiping - Access to the 48MP sensor (if available and enabled in settings) - Option to save as lossless HEIF files - Saves EXIF and GPS data in photos This app is designed to simulate the cinematic qualities of the XPAN, including emulation of 8 distinct film stocks that are often paired with this camera: NIGHT MODE Based on the Cinestill 800T film character with its moody teal cast and signature "halation" (red halos) around bright spots in the image. BALANCED MODE Inspired by Vision3 250D film stock, with its versatile personality and typical Hollywood-style color and contrast curves. DAYLIGHT MODE Based on the popular Portra 400 film; soft and warm hues and moderate contrast profile. Great for skin tones and dreamy landscapes. GRITTY MODE Inspired by the Lomography Metropolis film, which adds a "bleached" look that is reminiscent of gritty 90s movies. BLACK & WHITE MODES Following the characteristics black & white films, one mode offers a punchy and contrasty B&W style, while the other is soft and dreamy. NEON NIGHT (NEW) Enhances bright spots in night photos and adds vibrant, saturated glows for a "cyberpunk" vibe ETHEREAL (NEW) Classic soft focus mode, without the need to put grease on your lens! XP4N is consciously made to be the ultimate one-trick-pony. A point and shoot camera with only a single button: the shutter button. The internal image processing engine does the rest, based on your preferred film mode setting. (so don't expect deep camera controls... ;-). The resulting images are carefully tuned to have the pleasant silky quality of film and to get away from the oversharpened, hyper-punchy look typical of today's digital cameras.

I saw that there was an update for 16 camera controls but for some reason I can’t get it to work on the 17. Love the app just want to see if there’s something I’m doing wrong.
This is my go to camera app on my iPhone because of the unique format it provides. To that end I would love it if you could assign the app to the iPhone’s camera button so you can open it quickly.
This app is amazing!! I’ve wanted an xpan forever, but they are so damn expensive and if they break, no one nowadays can fix them. This app, while not exactly the same experience as shooting an actual xpan, creates amazing results, and is an absolute joy to use. I also appreciate the film sims and zoom modes. Kudos!!! 5 Stars!!
everything is fantastic but it would also be better with flash toggle option in the future updates
Addition of saved as ProRAW option will bring this app to S tier in my humble opinion!! I know ProRAW can’t be saved with crop and adjustment baked in. But that option would be really nice to have since some photos do require post editing but it would still be nice to have the app as a viewfinder to preview the shot.
Being primarily a film photographer and would love to own an XPAN but can’t afford it, this is a great simulation and substitute for the real thing. A simple point and shoot. My preferred mode is Daylight since Portra was one of my favorite film stocks. Wish there was a way to turn off the volume buttons from being the shutter button, otherwise great app.
While I’m by no means a professional photographer, I know my way around film simulations—both through post-editing and as a Fujifilm camera user, as well as an occasional 35mm/120mm shooter. This app continues to enchant with its wonderful simplicity and exceptionally well-calibrated simulations. The core function of creating an XPan aspect ratio crop is especially welcome, saving time and greatly assisting with framing.
A commitment to apps and quality should be standardized upon Bram’s creations on iOS. He has patiently demonstrated commitment to his work and products. This should be respected by all. Peace.
I’m using it for landscape. The film choices work well in different situations. It’s easy to choose options and to go back and forth between them, especially the lenses.
Love it. Simple idea. The filter with the halation effect is sick. Thank you for not making it a subscription. 10/10
