This app sucks. Customer service is rude and unprofessional. Didn’t help anything
I deposited my check almost a week ago and it took a week to process now it’s saying if needs another 5 days to process again. I need to pay my rent and this is really ruining my life. I would’ve never signed up for the bank in the first place if I knew it was so odd why do I have to wait 5 days just because my account is new? Sofi banking is much better go with them they are a much better option.
Ally is a great bank, but the app runs super super slow. With a 500mbps connection the app will take upwards of one minute to even open.
Their internal systems are unreliable. You can add an international travel notice to your account, arrive at your destination, and still have your transactions blocked. I had to call repeatedly to unlock my card, sometimes every week. When I asked why transactions were denied, customer service often said they could not provide a reason or do anything to help. It left me without access to my own money while traveling. During six months abroad, I experienced constant issues. They claim that fraud alerts will be sent by text so you can confirm legitimate purchases, but I rarely received them. Their customer service team also appears to have very limited ability to review or resolve blocked transactions; the usual response is simply to try again later.
App is slow and buggy. Cant edit transfers without multiple attempts.
Absolutely the best online bank. Great rates but very easy to manage your money
Their software needs updates. I have had several times where a check would fail, then pass, then get immediately withdrawn after the money makes it into the account, very frustrating
Has to be the ugliest and most unfriendly app I’ve used in banking. Way too many disclosures at the bottom, too many ancillary boxes on other products than just my spending account. No appeal, just a black/white background with text.
I only use the savings account, but with the reoccurring transfers, the different “buckets” you can build, and the savings rate. I would recommend it to anyone
