The old app you could scroll and follow easily. This new way is a real page turner. And while you’re tuning pages you get lost. Coverage of continuing Mass is greatly reduced. So very much easier to scroll.

Universalis is an app I’ve been using since it was first released. I have used other apps to follow the Mass and to pray the Divine Office prior to the release of Universalis, but Universalis is far better than any of those. The Mass and the Office are laid out in a manner which makes both extremely easy to follow, plus the Office provides many options to customize the day’s prayers to fit my style (two-year cycle of Scripture readings, psalm-prayers, choices of optional memorials, and so on). The rosary feature is also wonderful and is chock full of options as well, allowing me to pray it with or without scriptural passages and with or without certain prayers. The “About Today” page is a marvelous celebration of saints’ days throughout the world, not just those on the local calendar. To complement this cornucopia of heroic persons, the “Spiritual Reading” page often includes what would have been the second reading from the Office of Readings for those saints not on the local calendar, providing further insight into these noble men and women. The only complaint I have with this app is that in terms of prayers outside of the proper liturgical prayers, it only has the rosary, the Angelus, and lectio divina. I would love it if the app also contained the chaplet of Divine Mercy, the examen, and the Stations of the Cross, but I guess the app can only hold so much data, and those prayers can be found on other apps. Overall, Universalis is a truly great app. I only hope that when the new translation of the Divine Office is released next year on Ash Wednesday, Universalis can be updated and thereby continue to play its role in my daily prayer life.

This app is incredibly useful for my daily prayers and preparation for Holy Mass. The additional reading resources are quite helpful. Every practicing Catholic who wishes to deepen their faith, understand Holy Scriptures, the Word of God, and to follow the Way, the Truth and the Life needs this app. May God bless your journey in faith.

This app is very frequently updated. It has many extras including free books to read. I was able to use the Anglican Ordinariate calendar for North America! For a small monthly fee you have access to the spoken word by a human for all the hours. Also you can choose the Bible translation for the Mass. There are many other choices as well. Altogether this is an app which over delivers for the money.

My complements to Martin Kochanski and the Universalis Product which I have been using for over 15 years If I was stranded on a desert island I would ask for Universalis It is among the greatest resource hands down I rely on it for the LOTH and its daily Prayers - saving me hours in many ways It is an incredible resource and presents the magnificent historical stories, dogma, hymns and context in a technologically advanced tool set I’ve been using the Iot for over 30 years . . . The developers have worked hard to ensure near flawless performance of app. So easy to find hours, segments of reading, etc. Now if I can figure out what happened to Universalis Automatic calendar functions for use in phone calendar— daily heading? Has this /ics been discontinued? Meanwhile, thanks for all work on hours reading fomat.

For a while, 2 months, the Mass Readings are not the same! Today i opened to the Pentecost Readings on Trinity Sunday! What is going on?

Love the rosary with pictures. Helps me quickly refocus when I get distracted. Simplicity of the liturgy helps me pray a few times a day now thank u🙏🏼
