Encountered several glitches. The slider bar at the bottom of the document that scrolls you through the pages of the song, sometimes gets stuck on and glitches with the image blocking a portion of your sheet music. Sometimes when you click on the screen to bring up the menu bar, it doesn’t work. Like for instance you need to make annotations quickly during rehearsal, and you can’t bring up the menu bar to do so. Four score is not buggy and seems to be stable after having switched to using that app. Fourscore is slightly less intuitive. But I will trade that for not having to deal with glitches or bugs. I gave MobileSheets a chance but four score is better.

This is a perfect app for church worship, integrates with Dropbox, and lets you make both set lists and collections. I am using it on an older iPad Pro because the so-called popular apps are very sluggish. This app is very fast and responsive regardless of the file size.

Three years in and I wouldn’t replace this app for anything. It is there at every performance. It is incredibly powerful and I use it very simply. I upload a photo or pdf of music, then can assign it to a genre, a composer, a setlist +++. I can trigger an audio recording if I forget the melody or want to play along for practice, or trigger a metronome. On occasion it will crash when entering annotations, and requires a very quick restart, but it has NEVER crashed on a gig when calling up a song or any of the sets that I have entered. If a bug is discovered, Mike has been very prompt at getting back to me, always. Almost forgot, there are regular upgrades, sometimes twice a month. Mike does not rest on his laurels. Get this app.

I’ve been using MobileSheets for several years now. Have played a lot of gigs and theater shows and this app is my centerpiece. It is so incredibly flexible, powerful, and intuitive! Can’t say enough good things about it. I love the collection concept so I can segregate my different bands and easily build set lists. I have my band members using it as well and it’s easy to share set lists and new songs etc. love it!

Well it has so many bugs that make it almost unusable. Be aware

I tried the competition on our family iPad Pro, used this software on a Surface for a while, then was blown away that this is on iOS too and the backups sync perfectly across systems. Now I find that face gestures work perfectly on my iPad Air? Stop. It’s too much. 🤣🥹😍

When I saw that MobileSheets supports using two iPads to view two pages simultaneously with “two-way sync,” I decided to invest in a second 13-inch iPad. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed to discover that two-way sync does not synchronize annotations between both devices. Instead, one iPad’s annotations overwrite the other’s, resulting in the loss of 50% of my notations after a long rehearsal session. This has made me question whether my purchase of a second iPad was worthwhile—unless the following issue can be fixed. A workaround involves setting one iPad to embed annotations into the PDF layer while the other places them in a separate annotation layer. Then, annotations must be manually synced page by page, carefully following user prompts to merge PDF changes from one iPad with the annotation layer from the other. While this is tedious, I would be willing to do it to take advantage of MobileSheets’ many excellent features. However, there is a major bug: The iPad set to embed annotations into the PDF layer frequently gets hung up, “please wait” with spinning circle, when exiting editing mode, leading to app crashes. After crashing, most annotations are lost, the devices disconnect, and reconnecting them is extremely difficult and time-consuming—essentially rendering it useless as I really need two pages at a time and “Cue” seems to be back, so far. But, MS has so much to offer compared to FS. Since the app offers the option to embed annotations into PDFs, is there any chance this feature could be debugged to prevent crashes and freezing? I truly hope so because, aside from this issue, I believe MobileSheets is far superior to its competition. Thanks!

I’ve used ForScore sometime but it has this bug that deletes annotations randomly. This is so annoying especially after worked on it for hours. And the developer never fixed this issue. MobileSheets has no such issue so far and the developer seems to be very dedicated. I love that they have an android version too. I’m very impressed. Will never go back to ForScore 👎

This app is very flexible and easy to use. I am a pianist and find that is has everything I want for reading sheet music. The ability to scan music with the devices camera is very useful allowing quick addition of new music to the app.

I’m enjoying the app so far. I especially like that the stamps are all available and the user fan create their own (ForScore makes the user subscribe to a monthly charge to unlock stamps, argh!). It would be nice to offer iCloud file access in the next version.
