HamStudy is not your typical study app. Most study apps focus on practice exams, which is like studying for your math test by trying 20% of the questions on repeat. Study smarter with HamStudy. Instead of taking practice tests with random questions over and over, our intelligent Study Mode tracks your progress as you move through the questions—what you’ve seen, what you haven’t, and where you’re struggling—and focuses your study on the questions you need to see most. Full statistics are provided along the way, giving you insight into how many times you’ve gotten a question right or wrong as well as your overall study progress. Don’t worry, you can still take practice exams whenever you want. You won’t find a better tool to use alongside your favorite learning material. Great app. Does what it says except that many of the explanations with mathematical formulas in them display raw markdown instead of rendering the formulas making them nearly impossible to read
Beside from not crashing and having a cohesive color scheme, this app does nothing to help one study for the test. There’s no units corresponding with chapters, nothing to actually aid other than practice exams. Clearly no actual teachers were involved with it’s development
This is a very helpful study tool!
At 67yo I decided to get my HAM license. College dropout with little engineering background or experience other than Life. Use the Study feature and read all the explanations. I also got the Book ( I recommend the Large Print version ) on Amazon. Within a few weeks I was consistently scoring 100% on the practice exams.
Absolutely a fantastic way to study. I knew some information but after using this app for a while I am pretty sure of a great result
I used hamstudy extensively when studying for all 3 classes of exams. Couldn’t have done it without this app.
I bought the Gordon West study guide for technicians license and read that and used the app to study as I went along. The ability to sort the questions based on which study guide you are using is awesome! Once I finished the book and got to 99% apptitude with the app in study mode I then switched to practice tests in the app until I got consistently 95% or higher. I easily passed the actual exam and have now moved on to studying for my general license. The app makes studying so easy. It continues to give you questions you answered incorrectly until you get them right.

I don’t often review apps but this is truly a killer app. The design and layout are perfect; the flash card memory and mechanics helped me pass all three tests in just a couple of months. Just wow.
Once I learned to use it…. Life saver!
Absolutely amazing instructional design. The structure of the interface makes it super easy for you to understand where you're at in your learning experience. The choices made for the content of the Explain tab are nothing short of genius, as is the clarity around concepts worth understanding vs. stuff you just need to memorize. Makes studying fun satisfying, and something you can do whenever you have a minute or two out in the world. Huge thanks to the HamStudy team!
