Description

Brick is the world's first digital wellness tool designed to turn smartphones back into tools, helping people take back control of their time, attention, and technology. A small tool paired with a powerful app that temporarily removes distracting apps and their notifications from your iPhone, leaving only what you choose. In a world designed for constant distraction, Brick introduces a simple but powerful idea: friction. By requiring a physical tap to enable or disable distracting apps, Brick creates a deliberate pause between impulse and action - turning smartphones back into tools for what matters. HOW IT WORKS Choose which apps or websites to block: social media, games, news, streaming, or anything distracting Tap your iPhone to Brick to activate your chosen mode A focus timer starts automatically, tracking your distraction-free time Place Brick somewhere out of reach and go live your life When you're ready, tap again to regain access Not nearby? Activate Brick remotely in the app. You'll still need the physical Brick to unblock, keeping the commitment real. FEATURES Block any iPhone app (except the dialer, per Apple policy) and select Safari websites Create custom modes for different parts of your day: Work, Family, Sleep, Gym, Study, Focus, and more A built-in focus timer tracks how long you stay undistracted Strict Mode closes loopholes, preventing workarounds while you're in a session 5 Emergency Unbricks included for unexpected situations Usage history tracks your progress so you can see how your habits improve over time. No subscriptions and no monthly fees. Buy once, use forever DESIGNED FOR EVERY PART OF YOUR LIFE Parents use Brick to create device-free family time and build healthier habits around technology. Students rely on it during study sessions and exam prep when focus matters most. Professionals use it for deep work without the constant pull of notifications. Athletes keep it in the locker room to stay locked in before competition. Brick is also a thoughtful gift for anyone trying to build a healthier relationship with their screen habits, reduce anxiety from constant notifications, or simply spend less time scrolling and more time living. ★★★★App selector is so clunky🇺🇸 US

Are you kidding me I can’t paste text into this field?!? This app stinks and I’d like to explain why but am not going to type out on my phone keyboard

★★★★Sham company that doesn't listen to its users.🇺🇸 US

They had a really good thing going, but they took away one of the most useful features which was time to break. They obviously don't care about their user base because they've had a huge response asking for the return of this feature. What's next, changing this to a subscription model? Seriously, this is a huge example of when a company just does not care about its user base or the responses that it gets. Oh, and to the developers, your copy and paste responses are so tacky. Seriously, what the hell are you doing? Now I have to go look for alternatives, I'll be telling all my friends as well. I was a huge supporter of your platform, but the way you've treated users is just unacceptable.

★★★★★Love it, but miss an old feature🇺🇸 US

Been using brick a little over a year. They temporarily had a timer feature that they’ve since removed and I wish they still had it! I liked being able to set the timer for an hour or 2 and then have it unbrick on its own. Otherwise, this tool is super helpful. Really helps me buckle down and lock in.

★★★★Slowly stops allowing the right apps over time🇺🇸 US

When it works right it’s so useful to get off distracting apps and my phone. I use a scheduled block list for work hours and switch to a more strict list with only a handful of apps allowed if I really need to focus. However, with the allow list it keeps blocking more of the apps than I have it set for or with the block list doesn’t block all the apps I have it set for. Deleting the app and reinstalling worked at first but now even doing that doesn’t fix it.

★★★★★Love the app- want to set time limits🇺🇸 US

I’ve been using Brick for a few months now and I really like it. I am saving time and more present while my phone is bricked. However, once I unbrick (for example to check a message on Instagram) there is nothing stopping me from scrolling for hours. It would be HUGE to add a feature with a time limit. For example, unbrick for 30 minutes, then it bricks automatically. Again, still love this app! But I do have some nights spent scrolling later than I want…

★★★★★Actually works🇺🇸 US

I’ve tried multiple times to cut down on screen time without success. This has been working for me!

kmumph1· 2026-07-08
★★★★Timer Feature🇺🇸 US

Listen to the customers and bring back the timer feature. I don’t want to have to carry around a piece of plastic or try to make complicated schedules. Sometimes simple is better and getting rid of the timer is outright a mistake. Also the copy paste responses are tacky and come off inattentive. I wanna love the brick but feel robbed.

★★★★★Warning it does not work on tablets just phones🇺🇸 US

Bought a brick to stop my doom scrolling. It works great on my phone but unable to brick a tablet with it. I am super disappointed.

Bgan99· 2026-07-08
★★★★★Exactly what I needed🇺🇸 US

I’ve tried several things to decrease my scrolling, especially social media. I’ve tried screen time limits and even asked my husband to set a password and not tell me. I always found a work around or it just didn’t work. Brick is perfect; a true block. They thought of everything. I love that it also blocks Facebook and Instagram websites so I can just go to safari or chrome when the apps are bricked. My scroll/screen time is down SIGNIFICANTLY the first week and I’m feeling so much less stressed & distracted. The biggest win is my kids not seeming mom with a phone in her hand all the time!

somechicknerd· 2026-07-07
★★★★★Functions Fine but Where’s the Timer Feature?🇺🇸 US

The app recently updated and no longer includes a countdown timer. Instead, you now need to set a schedule if you want an impromptu brick session.

WilliamMCollins· 2026-07-07
★★★★★Great until it wasn’t🇺🇸 US

I loved using Brick. Then they deleted one of the better features of the app with no simple alternative. It was easy to just set a timer vs making a schedule. My screen time was down a ton but now back up that the feature is gone.

Big One69· 2026-06-24
★★★★★Hope this is Helpful🇺🇸 US

After using Brick, I have found myself reaching for my phone only to realize it is bricked. Realizing I got nothing to do, I will find something to do. I am using Brick to spend more time with family. Although I am usually physically with family, I am not always mentally there. Brick has helped with that.
