App has been abandoned.

None of the streets and roads and parks and many other things are showing up on the map now. It reads that the last time it was updated. It was four years ago, do not get this app until they update, otherwise it will be useless.

I’ve been a user of this app since 2015 with hundreds of pins logged all over the world. Over the years, for various issues, I have gone back and forth between the “normal” and “Pro” versions of this app since they never seem to be both working at the same time. Offline maps feature no longer functional. Nowadays travel with a WiFi hotspot which allows the app to remain useful. Still have an issue where the app randomly fails to load any map data, just my saved pins displayed on a blank background. Only solution is to delete the app and reinstall. That’s when I’m glad my pins are saved to the Ulmon cloud. Used to be great app, glad it’s still limping along.

I didn’t explore this app thoroughly, as I was stunned to see that Landscape Arch, in central Utah, was the photo of display when I searched for the Grand Canyon, which is in central Arizona and bears no resemblance to Landscape Arch. I would never confidently trust information from an app that makes such a blunder. The app does have pretty pictures, but ‘of what’ I could never be sure.

I use the app for offline execution of vacation plans

I had just opened it the day before and all was well, then when I needed it in Rome, it wouldn’t open and told me I needed to upgrade (which I’d already done). Wish it worked like it used to.

This used to be a 4 star app. Ten years after my last review it’s still broken. 😞 I had just upgraded my phone, updated this app, and all my maps from around the world were gone! I paid for this app years ago (2005), during a trip. I was weeks away from my next and I had no maps. Very disappointed. +++ (Original review) A friend mentioned this app when I had newly arrived on a UK holiday and it made my day trips on foot so much smoother. The terrain didn't always match what I saw on paper maps but eventually I could find my blue dot on here and zoom out til I found my way again. I navigated Edinburgh and Oxford much easier. Even with local guides for Newcastle and London these maps were helpful. I would request more detailed small towns be added worldwide to make it more seamlessly connected, and the option to download by country and state (US) would greatly help. As a map lover, I found this app fun, and even open it occasionally in familiar places just to see how it functions or where my dot is!

It seems every time I try to view a map that I’ve downloaded when I am off the Internet nothing shows up. I’ve downloaded Paris I’ve downloaded New York I’ve downloaded Chicago I’ve downloaded New Orleans; what every time I am off the Internet these maps fail to show up on my phone. Part of the reason I chose this app is that I could use the off-line map.I’ve got lots of memory on my phone so I could download and use these maps. But that doesn’t seem to be happening.

I used to be able to use this offline but I don’t know since when it doesn’t work any more. It would not show the downloaded maps when i have no internet connection, it requires me to get online once first, completely defeats the purpose of offline maps
