The best credit card for my son!
My account got hacked and now people are spending money of mine
I’m not very happy with Greenlight at the moment. Our child has used Greenlight to save and manage money over the years, and now wants to transfer his earnings (several thousand dollars) back to his bank account, and Greenlight refuses to allow this transfer, in direct conflict with its policies… we’ve followed their policies to the letter. Their help faqs and AI chat support are useless, and just reiterate their policies. I’m waiting to hear from an actual human, no luck yet. I’ll contact our state attorney general next. Not a great experience Greenlight.
Best app ever!!
There’s no way to reach a live person when you have a problem. The website Chatbot, the text Chatbot email Chatbot all refused to connect you to a person.
We need contact less payments and we need to use the app without a card

Can’t reassign tasks for kids if they want to swap chores or accidentally pick an up for grabs chore.
I was looking into green light for a tracking device for my daughter. Came across green light. Downloaded the app to get a feel for if it would be worth the price. Can’t even get into the app without loading money onto a card THAT DOESN’T EXIST. I am not signed up. I have not ordered a card at this point. It prompts to pick an amount to load. MINIMUM $10. Says on the page I won’t be charged until I pick a plan. Very next page asks for my debit card info. I put it in thinking it’ll just hold it. Nope immediately tried to charge me the $10 that it said it wouldn’t and load it onto a card that DOES NOT EXIST. There is literally no way this isn’t a scam in some way. I shouldn’t have to load money onto a non existent card to look around the app and see if it will work from my needs.
I tired this service back in January and’s last of the trial it required it required I go through the card setup process before I could get access to the app to determine if it was the right fit. During the card onboarding it required a $10 seed fund. Once I had access to the app after creating an account I determined the app was not the right fit. One of the things that stood out was delivering ads for upgrades to the kids and adults using the app for a paid service. That same day I knew it was not the right app and cancelled the trial. 4 months later, I started getting charged $5.99 a month for a service I never agreed to use. I called support and they acknowledged this is a common issue. I find tie product predatory and dishonest. Hint hint, there are much better open source options out there too if you look.
I wanted this app for my kids to track their own chores and have a debit card for their allowance. I set up the app, entered my bank account info and set up me 3 kids. The problem I ran into was trying to log my kids into their own account on their devices. After spending hours I called the 1-800 customer service number who was a foreign answering service and they couldn’t figure it out either. The whole purpose of our family using the app is for my kids to track their own chores. If they can’t login that defeats the whole purpose. I ended up cancelling the subscription. Waste of time.
I am having a hard time navigating this app, it has already caused my bank to charge a return fee because it took money from the wrong account.
